Over the years, the ATG has awarded more than $20,000 to talented young musicians. We are proud to expand this legacy by introducing four new scholarships for ATG members and their students. ATG is allocating $3,000 annually to these new scholarship offerings.
-
$250 Beginner Scholarship
Designed for the dedicated novice. This award supports students in the early stages of their accordion journey who demonstrate a clear commitment to continuing their musical studies.
-
$500/$750 Donna Dee Ray Intermediate Scholarship.
Dedicated to long-time ATG board member Donna Dee Ray, this scholarship supports advancing students who have moved beyond the introductory phase and can demonstrate ability equivalent to the ATG Syllabus Level 2-3. Because ATG believes in encouraging the study of Free Bass on the left hand, if the student is studying free bass, a $750 scholarship will be awarded.
-
$750/$1000 Advanced Level Scholarship.
This premier scholarship targets students achieving high levels of technical proficiency and musicality. This is for students who have been studying for more than two years and can demonstrate skills equivalent to the ATG Syllabus Level 4 and beyond. Because ATG believes in encouraging the study of Free Bass on the left hand, if the student is studying free bass, a $1000 scholarship will be awarded.
-
$250 Beginner "Crossover" Scholarship.
We welcome musicians from all backgrounds! This scholarship is specifically for students who currently play another instrument (piano, violin, woodwinds, etc.) and wish to begin their journey with the accordion as a second instrument.
Please see details and applications below.
The ATG Scholarship Committee reserves the right to decline making an award if, in its sole discretion, it determines that there are insufficient funds remaining in the ATG Scholarship annual fund or that no applications meet the required standards of excellence.
